We are currently looking for OCT certified teachers to deliver one-on-one sessions to children of all ages. These sessions are focused on remedial recovery of specific skills (literacy and numeracy) through the implementation of Direct Instruction programs. These programs provide teachers with developed lessons that include every piece necessary to make the lessons successful. Teachers implement these lessons, adapting delivery in response to their student’s performance, moving them through the lessons with a rate and accuracy that maximizes their learning potential.

Successful candidates will receive extensive training in the implementation of Direct Instruction programming. They will work as part of the ALA team to deliver our programming to students with a diverse range of learning needs. Support and feedback are provided as needed to ensure all teachers feel confident and comfortable in sessions.

Teaching occurs at our offices in the after-school hours and on Saturdays (8 Lawton Blvd., Yonge and St. Clair area). Interested candidates must be available to work evenings and/or Saturdays. Your commitment would extend to the end of the school year.
